July 25th Report

On July 25th, Fukui Prefecture reported 27 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total to 1,472. There are currently 68 active cases within the prefecture. Seven of the 27 new cases are students of a Fukui City senior high school, and two are students of a Fukui City junior high school; in addition, six are Fukui City residents and another six are Sakai City residents. May 24th Report

On May 24th, Fukui Prefecture reported 4 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total to 1,025. As of this day, there are 49 active cases within the prefecture.
Brief details of the 4 cases are as follow.

The Osaka Prefecture unemployed female (30s, #1) is being treated outside Fukui Prefecture.

The Awara City self-employed male (40s, #3) is a close contact of an Awara City female (70s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on May 19th.

The Obama City unemployed female (80s, #4) is connected to a COVID-19 cluster at a nursing home, which was reported on May 15th.

November 14th Report, 8th Consecutive Day of COVID-19 Infections

On November 14th, Fukui Prefecture reported that a Fukui City female company employee in her 20s has been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The prefecture currently has a cumulative total of 272 COVID-19 cases.

On November 9th, the Fukui City female company employee (20s) experienced coughing. On the 13th, she visited a medical institution for an examination and to have a biological sample taken; PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test results showed positive for COVID-19, and the woman subsequently entered hospitalization at a medical institution designated for infectious diseases. She had spent some time within Osaka Prefecture from November 6th to 10th.

Fukui City Man Infected With COVID-19

November 12th Report

On November 12th, Fukui Prefecture reported that a Fukui City independent businessman (40s) has been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Fukui City man (40s) experienced a fever of 38⁰C and sore throat on November 10th. On the 11th, he went to a medical institution for an examination and to have a biological sample taken, which showed positive for COVID-19 through a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test. On the 12th, he entered hospitalization at a medical institution designated for infectious diseases. From November 3rd to 4th, he had spent some time within Osaka Prefecture. He has four close contacts, of two family members living in the same residence, and two colleagues.

Fukui Prefecture now has a cumulative total of 269 COVID-19 cases.
