July 16th Report
On July 16th, Fukui Prefecture reported a woman in her 70s, who was under hospitalization after being infected with COVID-19, has passed away, along with 3 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 1,412. Of the 3 new COVID-19 cases, one is a Tsuruga City male company employee (50s), one is a Sakai City male company employee (30s), and one is a student connected to a COVID-19 cluster at a school which was first reported on July 8th.
As of this day, there are currently 73 active cases within the prefecture, as well as a cumulative total of 36 COVID-19 related deaths.
