Fukui Prefecture to Lift Independent State of Emergency on July 8th

COVID-19, Shifting Into “Special Alert” Status

On July 7th, Fukui Prefecture announced that it will be lifting its independent “State of Emergency” on July 8th, which was set in response to the spread of COVID-19. From the 9th, the prefecture will shift into a “Special Alert” state. The “Specified Infection Countermeasure Area”, designating Fukui City’s Junka 1-Chome, Junka 2-Chome, Chuo 1~3-Chome, and Ote 1~3-Chome, will also be withdrawn.

The “Special Alert” period is set until July 22nd.
