On May 19th, Fukui Prefecture reported 9 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total to 1004. As of this day, there are 57 active cases within the prefecture.
Brief details of the 9 cases are as follow.

The Obama City female part-time worker (50s, #2) is a close contact of the Obama City male company employee (60, #1).

The Sabae City male company employee (60s, #5) and the Sabae City female part-time worker (50s, #6) are close contacts of an Echizen City girl (under 10) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on May 18th.

The Fukui City self-employed male (30s, #7) is a contact of a COVID-19 patient outside Fukui Prefecture.

The Awara City unemployed female (70s, #8) is a close contact of the Awara City self-employed male (70s, #3).

The Obama City unemployed male (90s, #9) is connected to a COVID-19 cluster at a nursing home, which was reported on May 15th.
