Fukui Prefecture, 38 New COVID-19 Infections

On April 22nd, Fukui Prefecture reported 38 new COVID-19 infections, a new record daily high, bringing its cumulative total to 817 cases. As of this day, there are 168 active cases within the prefecture, of which 1 is in serious condition. Of the 38 new cases, 20 are of a cluster connected to an elementary school within Tsuruga City.
Brief details of the 38 new cases are as follow.

The Awara City male company employee (50s, #4) and the Awara City male student (under 10, #5) are close contacts of an Awara City female (50s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 21st.

The Fukui City boy (under 10, #6) is a close contact of a Fukui City male (30s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 21st.

Five students from Sabae City (#7 ~ #11), of four males and one female in their 10s or 20s, are close contacts of a Sabae City female (40s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 21st.

The Fukui City self-employed male (20s, #14) is a contact of a Fukui City female (20s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 15th.

The Fukui City male company employee (20s, #15) is a contact of a Fukui City male (20s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 20th.

The Tsuruga City female nursery teacher (40s, #17) is a close contact of a Sabae City female (40s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 21st.

The Obama City female part-time worker (20s, #18) is a close contact of an Obama City female (20s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 13th.
