Fukui Prefecture, 9 New COVID-19 Infections and 1 Death

April 15th Report

On April 15th, Fukui Prefecture reported 9 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total to 684, as well as 1 COVID-19 related death. As of this day, there are 72 active cases within the prefecture, of which 2 are in serious condition.
Brief details of the 9 cases are as follow.

The Fukui City unemployed female (70s, #2) is a close contact of a Fukui City female (40s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 7th.

The Fukui City female company employee (40s, #6) and the Fukui City male company employee (40s, #7) are close contacts of a COVID-19 patient from outside the prefecture.

The Echizen City female student (10s, #8) is a close contact of an Echizen City female (90s) whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 14th.

The Fukui City female children’s club employee (40s, #9) is a close contact of the Fukui City male company employee (40s, #7).
