April 7th Report
On April 7th, Fukui Prefecture reported 2 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total to 628 cases, as well as 2 patients who have passed away while under hospitalization. As of this day, there are 65 active COVID-19 cases within the prefecture.
Brief details of the 2 new cases are as follows.
 Fukui City female company employee (40s)
On April 5th, the woman experienced a fever and headache. On the 6th, a test showed positive for COVID-19. As of this time, she has no recent record of travel outside the prefecture. She has 5 close contacts, of family member within the same residence.
 Tsuruga City male company employee (20s)
On April 5th, the man experienced a fever and coughing. On the 6th, a test was taken, which showed positive for COVID-19 on the 7th. As of this time, he has no record of travel outside the prefecture. Investigation is ongoing regarding his close contacts.
