April 3rd, Shift From “Warning” to “Alert”

On April 3rd, in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 infections, Fukui Prefecture issued its third prefecture-wide “Infection Emergency Alert”, to be effective until April 16th. Since March 30th, the prefecture had an “Infection Emergency Warning”.

Fukui Prefecture, 13 New COVID-19 Infections

April 3rd Report

On April 3rd, Fukui Prefecture reported 13 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total of cases to 610. As of this day, there are 57 active COVID-19 cases within the prefecture.
Brief details of the 13 new cases are listed within the following table.

Cases #3 through #6 are contacts of a Oi Town male resident (50s), whose COVID-19 infection was reported on April 1st.
Cases #7 through #9 are close contacts of the Wakasa Town male instructor (40s), whose infection was reported today (#3).
Cases #10 through #13 are close contacts of the Obama City unemployed male (30s), whose infection was reported today (#6).
