Fukui Prefecture, 6 New COVID-19 Infections

February 9th Report

On February 9th, Fukui Prefecture reported 6 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total to 528 cases. All 6 cases are of technical interns from Ono City.
Brief details of each case are as follow:

[1] Ono City female technical intern (20s)
On February 8th, the woman experienced a fever and sore throat. She went to a medical institution for an examination, and had a biological sample taken. A PCR test showed positive for COVID-19. She has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.

[2] Ono City female technical intern (20s)
On February 7th, the woman had a fever. On the 8th, she went to a medical institution for an examination, and to have a biological sample taken. A PCR test showed positive for COVID-19. She has been in Tokyo during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.

[3] Ono City female technical intern (20s)
On February 8th, the woman had a fever and sore throat. She went to a medical institution for an examination, and had a biological sample taken. A PCR test showed positive for COVID-19. She has been in Tokyo during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.

[4] Ono City female technical intern (20s)
On February 8th, as a close contact, the woman had a biological sample taken. On the 9th, a PCR test showed positive for COVID-19. She is currently asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the past two weeks.

[5] Ono City female technical intern (20s)
On February 8th, as a close contact, the woman had a biological sample taken. On the 9th, a PCR test showed positive for COVID-19. She is currently asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the past two weeks.

[6] Ono City female technical intern (30s)
On February 8th, as a close contact, the woman had a biological sample taken. On the 9th, a PCR test showed positive for COVID-19. She is currently asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the past two weeks.
