Fukui Prefecture, 2 New COVID-19 Infections

February 4th Report

On February 4th, Fukui Prefecture reported 2 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the cumulative total to 519 cases.
Brief details of each cases are as follow:

[1] Fukui City female company employee (20s)
On January 26th, as a close contact, the woman had a biological sample taken, which tested negative for COVID-19 through a PCR test. On February 2nd, she experienced a fever of 37.8⁰C. On the 3rd, a biological sample was taken, which tested positive for COVID-19 through a PCR test. She has no history travel outside the prefecture during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.

[2] Awara City male company employee (30s)
On January 25th, as a close contact, the man had a biological sample taken, which tested negative for COVID-19 through a PCR test. On February 3rd, he experienced a fever of 37.6⁰C and coughing; a biological sample was taken. On the 4th, a PCR test showed positive for COVID-19. He has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.
