January 11th Report
On January 11th, Fukui Prefecture reported 2 new COVID-19 infections, bringing its cumulative total to 399 cases.
Brief details of each case are as follows:
 Tokyo male company employee (40s)
On January 6th, the man had a runny nose and sore throat. On the 9th, as a close contact of a COVID-19 patient from outside Fukui Prefecture, a biological sample was taken. On the 10th, PCR test results showed positive for COVID-19. He has been in Tsuruga City since January 4th.
 Oi Town unemployed male (60s)
On January 5th, the man experienced a fever of 38°C. On the 10th, he went to a medical institution for an examination, and to have a biological sample taken, which tested positive for COVID-19 through an antigen test. He has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.
