Fukui Prefecture, No New COVID-19 Infections

January 1st Report

On January 1st, Fukui Prefecture reported no new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. The prefecture dubs the period until January 11th as the “New Years Infection Countermeasure Period”, asking everyone to wear masks, wash hands, and avoid the “Three C’s” (Closed spaces, Crowded places, and Close-contact settings).

Fukui Prefecture currently has a cumulative total of 355 COVID-19 cases. As of noon, there are 17 active COVID-19 cases within the prefecture.
