Three New COVID-19 Infections Between Sakai and Fukui Cities

November 27th Report

On November 27th, Fukui Prefecture reported three new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection of two men from Sakai City, and one woman from Fukui City, bringing its cumulative total of cases to 312. Brief details of each case are as follows:

[1] Sakai City male association employee (20s)
On November 24th, the man had a cough. On the 25th, he experienced a fever of 38.8⁰C, and went to a medical institution for an examination and to have a biological sample taken. On the 26th, PCR test results showed positive for COVID-19. He has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.

[2] Fukui City female company employee (70s)
On November 26th, the woman experienced a fever of 37.8⁰C, and visited a medical institution for an examination and to have a biological sample taken. On the 27th, PCR test results showed positive for COVID-19. She has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.

[3] Sakai City male association employee (60s)
On November 26th, as a close contact, the man had a biological sample taken. On the 27th, PCR test results showed positive for COVID-19. He is currently asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the past two weeks.
