Fukui Prefecture, 4 New COVID-19 Infections

November 26th Report

On November 26th, Fukui Prefecture reported four new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, of three people in Fukui City and one woman from Echizen Town, bringing the prefecture’s cumulative total of cases to 309. Brief details of each case are as follows:

[1] Fukui City male company employee (30s)
On November 25th, as a close contact, the man had a biological sample taken. On the 26th, a PCR test result showed positive for COVID-19. He is currently asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the past two weeks.

[2] Fukui City male company employee (40s)
On November 24th, the man experienced a fever of 38.3⁰C. On the 25th, he went to a medical institution for an examination, and to have a biological sample taken. On the 26th, a PCR test result showed positive for COVID-19. He has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the two-week period prior to the onset of symptoms.

[3] Echizen Town female company employee (40s)
On November 25th, as a close contact, the woman had a biological sample taken. On the 26th, a PCR test result showed positive for COVID-19. She is currently asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the past two weeks.

[4] Fukui City female company employee (40s)
On November 24th, the woman experienced a fever of 37.8⁰C, a headache, and runny nose. On the 25th, she went to a medical institution for an examination, and to have a biological sample taken. On the 26th, a PCR test result showed positive for COVID-19. She had spent some time within Ishikawa Prefecture during November 11th and 20th.
