Fukui Prefecture, Two New COVID-19 Infections

November 22nd Report, 73 Students and Instructors to Undergo Testing

On November 22nd, Fukui Prefecture reported two new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), of a female high school student (10s) and an unemployed female (70s) within Fukui City; both are experiencing minor symptoms. The prefecture will be conducting PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests on 73 people (57 students and 16 instructors) who potentially had interactions with the female high school student.

With the three-day weekend in consideration, Fukui Prefectural Health and Welfare Director Hiroyuki Kubota urged, “Please take thorough infection countermeasures when going out, such as wearing masks, washing hands, and proper ventilation.”

Fukui Prefecture has a cumulative total of 302 COVID-19 cases.
