Fukui Prefecture, Three New COVID-19 Infections

November 20th Report

On November 20th, Fukui Prefecture reported three new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, across Fukui City, Eiheiji Town, and Sabae City, bringing its cumulative total to 298. Brief details of each case are as follows:

[1] Fukui City male company employee (20s)
On November 18th, the man experienced a fever of 37.4⁰C. On the 19th, he recorded a fever of 38⁰C; he visited a medical institution for an examination and to have a biological sample taken, which tested positive for COVID-19 through a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test. He had spent some time in Osaka Prefecture on the 15th.

[2] Eiheiji Town female facility staff (30s)
On November 19th, as a close contact, the woman had a biological sample taken; PCR test results showed positive for COVID-19. She is asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during past two weeks.

[3] Sabae City unemployed female (60s)
On November 19th, as a close contact, the woman had a biological sample taken, which tested positive for COVID-19 though a PCR test. She is asymptomatic, and has no history of travel outside the prefecture during the past two weeks.
