Echizen Town Man Infected With COVID-19

November 7th Report

On November 7th, Fukui Prefecture reported an Echizen Town male company employee in his 60s has been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The last report of a COVID-19 case was October 31st.

The Echizen Town male company employee (60s) experienced fatigue on November 2nd. The man had a fever of 38.9⁰C on the 3rd, which subsided on the evening of the 4th. He visited a medical institution for an examination on the 6th, where a biological sample was taken; antigen test results showed positive for COVID-19. On the 7th, he entered hospitalization into a medical institution designated for infectious diseases.

During October 22nd to 23rd, and 29th to 31st, the Echizen Town man had spent time within Nagano Prefecture. He currently has two close contacts, of family members living in the same residence.
