Fukui Prefecture, New COVID-19 Case of Woman Staying in Sakai City

August 24th COVID-19 Report, Niigata Prefecture Resident in her 20s

On August 24th, Fukui Prefecture reported a new case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, of an unemployed female in her 20s, who is also a Niigata Prefecture resident. From August 7th through 17th, the woman had travelled through Shiga and Kyoto. From the 17th, the woman has been staying in Sakai City. The woman had travelled using her family’s vehicle.

Through Shiga and Kyoto, the woman had travelled with five different acquaintances local to either region. The woman took a test for COVID-19, upon news that three of her five acquaintances were confirmed positive with the virus on August 22nd.
