Fukui Prefecture, No New COVID-19 Infections

July 19th Report, No Infection Among Elementary School Bus Passengers

On July 19th, Fukui Prefecture reported no new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Up until 9:00 a.m. of the same day, 108 new polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results were verified as negative for COVID-19.

According to Fukui Prefecture, 42 of the 44 Sakai City elementary school students who rode the school bus operated by the Keifuku Bus driver (in his 50s), who had been infected with COVID-19, had their biological samples taken on July 18th, and was confirmed as negative for the virus.
