Fukui Prefecture, Zero COVID-19 Inpatients

June 15th Report, 90 Days Since Last Admission

On June 15th, Fukui Prefecture reported that there are currently no inpatients that had been admitted due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. It has been 90 days since the last time a patient was admitted into the hospital due to COVID-19.

Since the first confirmed infection within Fukui Prefecture on March 18th, the number of cases had risen to 122. The average time patients spend hospitalized is 21 days.

According to he Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, as of June 13th, there are 19 prefectures across Japan with zero COVID-19 inpatients.

June 15th Report, 48th Consecutive Days

On June 15th, Fukui Prefecture reported no new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Since April 29th, it is the 48th consecutive day without a new infection.
