Michi-no-Eki “Dinosaur Valley Katsuyama”, Opens June 20th

On June 20th, Katsuyama City’s Michi-no-Eki “Dinosaur Valley Katsuyama” will open for business, after delaying its opening date, due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and insufficient supplies.

The Michi-no-Eki is located on the north side of the Katsuyama Kyoryu Bridge, close to the Katsuyama Interchange, along the Chubu-Jukan Expressway. The facility has a section selling produce grown by the local residents; foods like mizu yokan and soft-serve ice cream will also be sold, and there will be a light-meal corner where visitors can enjoy the local flavours, such as the “Raptor Burger”, inspired by the image of dinosaurs. Outside the facility, a monument of a dinosaur, which is also a slide, can be seen. Katsuyama City stated that it will be carrying out COVID-19 prevention measures on the opening day.
