Business Suspension Compliance Grant, Fukui Prefecture to Give ¥500,000 to SMEs

For 100 Different Industries, Individual Owner-Managers to Receive ¥200,000

On April 23rd, Fukui Prefecture officially announced a request for businesses within the prefecture, in roughly 100 different industries, to suspend operations from April 25th to May 6th, in an effort to prevent the further spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Small and medium-sized enterprises that cooperate with the request can receive a ¥500,000 grant, while individual owner-managers can receive ¥200,000, similar to Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures. Prefectural Governor Tatsuji Sugimoto explained the preceding details in a scheduled conference.
