Compensation Grant of ¥500,000 to Small to Medium Enterprises
On April 19th, Ishikawa Prefecture announced an appeal for recreational and entertainment establishments to suspend business form the 21st, in response to the state of emergency being expanded across the country, based on special measures to deal with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Small to medium enterprises that cooperate with the request can receive a grant of ¥500,000, while individual owner-managers can receive ¥200,000. The requests will look for businesses to be suspended until May 6th.
The request excludes essential establishments that are regarded to maintain everyday life, such as supermarkets and pharmacies. Restaurants are asked to be closed by 8:00 p.m., and to stop serving alcohol by 7:00 p.m.
From April 20th, the prefecture will establish a call centre for consultation, in regards to the application and process of the business compensation grant.
