Fukui Prefectural Hospital, 81 Tested Negative
On April 13th, Fukui Prefecture reported 4 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Furthermore, it was reported that 81 medical personnel and patients, connected with a Fukui Prefectural Hospital nurse infected with COVID-19, underwent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests and tested negative.
On April 12th, the Fukui Prefectural Hospital reported that a female nurse, in her 40s, had been infected with COVID-19. Up to April 13th, among the 99 medical personnel and patients who had close interactions with the nurse, 81 had taken a PCR test and all have tested negative for the virus. The status of the remaining 18 people will be reported at a later time.
In addition, according to Fukui Prefecture, there has been a confirmation of 4 new COVID-19 cases across Sabae City, Sakai City, and Fukui City, of men and women ranging from their 30s to 60s.
Within the prefecture, the total number of confirmed cases has risen to 92, with 5 patients currently in serious condition.
