Highway Bus Connecting Fukui and Tokyo, Moving Towards Suspension

Keifuku Bus Announcement, All Service Suspended from April 14th

On April 6th, the Keifuku Bus company announced that in a preventative measure against the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Tokyo line highway bus, jointly operated by Keifuku Bus and Fukui Railway, will gradually reduce its services from April 10th, and completely suspend service from April 14th.

Throughout one day, along the Tokyo bus line, there are six buses that depart from each end, connecting JR Fukui Station East and Tokyo Station, as well as Tokyo Disneyland.

A date for the resumption of service is still undecided. As a consequence from the reduction and eventual suspension of services, ticket refunds are being offered. A reduction of service or suspension for the Nagoya line and the Kyoto-Osaka line is currently under consideration.
