Fukui City’s Youth Outdoor Learning Center, Welcoming Patients with Mild Symptoms

A Temporary Residence for People with the Novel Coronavirus

On April 6th, Fukui Prefecture announced that a facility has been established as a temporary residence for people with mild symptoms or are asymptomatic, among those infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Fukui City’s “Shonen Shizen no Ie” (Youth Outdoor Learning Center) has begun the operations from April 5th, and has already taken in six patients. This measure is being carried out to help alleviate the strain on medical institutions, with the limited number of hospital beds available in responding to the spread of COVID-19. Six new COVID-19 cases were reported in an April 6th press conference.
