Fukui to Receive Snowfall Until Late Night on the 10th, for the 11th…

Weather Forecast by the Fukui Local Meteorological Office

On February 10th, a cold wave entered Fukui Prefecture, resulting in snowfall. According an 11:00 a.m. weather forecast by the Fukui Local Meteorological Office, it will be cloudy throughout different parts of the day. The chance of precipitation was reported to be 70% until midnight, going into the 11th, and snowfall will likely continue throughout the afternoon. During National Foundation Day on the 11th, it will be sunny with some areas expected to see snow until dawn.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, regarding the amount of snowfall in different areas within Fukui Prefecture during the 24-hour period until 10:00 a.m. of the February 10th, Echizen City, Ono City, and Tsuruga City each received 1 centimetre of snowfall, while Kuzuryu within Ono City saw 2 centimetres of snow. Fukui City, Minamiechizen Town, and Obama City accumulated zero centimetres of snow.

On the 11th, the predicted morning lows within Fukui Prefecture are 2⁰C in Fukui City, 0⁰C in Ono City, and 4⁰C in Tsuruga City. The temperature highs are expected to be 10⁰C in Fukui City, 8⁰C in Ono City, and 10⁰C in Tsuruga City. The chance of precipitation in the Reihoku and Reinan regions were both reported at 30% until 6:00 a.m., and 0% after 6:00 a.m.
